About Birds!!
There are over 10,000 confirmed species of birds. They have long migrations of great distances. They have the largest group of tetrapods. Birds have beaks which have no teeth. They also have feathers. Birds lay eggs. They range from 5cm. to 9ft. They have a four chambered heart. All birds have wings, but not all of them can fly. About 120-130 species of birds have gone extinct due to human activities.
Bald Eagle
The animal we chose to research further for Chordata - Bird is the bald eagle. The bald eagle is the United States of America's national bird. Bald Eagles reproduce sexually. A unique mating behavior they have is that they mate for life. Bald eagles are carnivores. Bald eagles eat fish, rabbits, hares, raccoons, muskrats, sea otters, deer fawns, grebes, alcids, ducks, gulls, coots, egrets, geese, and crab. Bald eagles live in North America. Thier habitats are sea coasts, rivers, large lakes, and other open waters. The bald eagle adapted to survive by having eyes designed for clear vision for daylight.
